A 33 year-old man was charged with yawning in a court room during proceedings, and was sentenced with six months in jail. The man, Clifton Williams, was attending the trial of his cousin, when he yawned in court. The judge viewed it as a disturbance, and charged him with contempt of court. Mr. Williams denies it was an attempt to disrupt the proceedings, and stated it was, “not an outrageous yawn”.
