With all the insanity lately over Facebook’s Privacy changes, many are looking for ways to limit the information visible to the world. Besides cancelling your account, there is another method to make sure the information you are sharing with the world is limited. ReclaimPrivacy.org has developed a tool called Reclaim Privacy which scans your facebook account for security holes.

To use this tool, first visit ReclaimPrivacy.org. Now, look for the Scan for Privacy button, and bookmark this link so you can visit it later. Now, go to facebook, and log in under your account. Now, visit the bookmark, a page will load on top of your facebook page and begin scanning your profile. You will be given a list of areas that may be a concern. Anything that is red or yellow will be an area you wish to correct. To do so, click on the link next to the item, and it will fix the issue. Look at the screenshot below to see what you want it to look like once done.

Once your profile looks like the one above, you will be currently protected. I would run this weekly, as you never know when Facebook’s privacy settings will change. If this continues, then I plan on canceling my account, as this is getting pathetic.
