It is a sad day in America when the Empire State Building shines in the colors of China’s Communist Party. 60 years ago today, China became a Communist nation, setting new lows in human rights abuse and extreme governmental control. The fact that we here in America are celebrating this is a disgrace to this country and to all those who have died for us to be free. It is pure irony that freedom of expression allows for the display of a country who’s communist government does not allow the expression displayed.
Not all are pleased with this event. Around 20 supporters of Tibet stood in front of the Empire State Building protesting China and it’s government. Many news agencies are now reporting many are angry over this event. Often the Empire State Building is lighted to mark special events. The fact that some Americans consider the 60th anniversary of the oppression of the Chinese people as special is both sad and disturbing. There appears to be a growing trend in this country and in the world by which people feel communism is a good thing. Most of these people are poor, lazy people who want things handed to them in life. If you feel communism is a good thing, consider what the government could do to you if they wanted to under a communist system. If the government is providing you with a home, a car, and a job, what could you do if the government decides to take them away? Remember, private property does not exist in a communist system, so the land you are on is property of the state. You, are property of the state, and if the state feels you should die, you die, period. If you want to live in this type of system, then go to China now and get it over with. I for one refuse to have my freedom taken from me.
Even though this is freedom of speech, we can make sure as citizens and consumers we impose punishments on this action. I for one will never step foot in the Empire State Building after this event. The lights atop the Empire State Building are owned by W&H Properties. I suggest a boycott of them beginning now and ending when they apologizes for this pathetic display and donate money to the VA. W&H Properties may have had the right to do this action, but we have rights to not use their services.
Update
In the past 5 days, I have had more than 4,000 visits from Taiwan requesting this article. Due to China’s oppressive firewall, these visitors are denied access, resulting in their inability to read the article. This is Communism at work, people, do not forget it. Free speech is the enemy of Communism, I suggest you use it.
