Syfy.com Hosts Malware

Today while I was surfing the Internet I went to one of the sites I usually go to find out information about Science Fiction, Syfy.com. My browser, Google Chrome, gave me a warning about the site hosting malware. This has never occurred before, thus I doubted the message. I ignored the warning, and sure enough, my virus scanner popped up identifying viruses. I was quite shocked, as this site is for a cable television station.

To the right you will see George, a licensed Hypnotherapist. No, really, George is a Hypnotherapist. Just look at his eyes, the way they gaze back at you, pulling you in. In case you do not know, George is a cat.

When the cash for clunkers program was implemented, I did not have much opinion on it. I did not give it much thought, and figured it was a way to get old cars scrapped and to get more environmental friendly cars on the road. On those points I did not have a problem, and would have considered using the program if I had an old car that did not run well, and I was in the position to buy a new car. Today I got an e-mail stating the Cash for Clunkers program is in part a scam for the government to gain access to your computer and your files, legally.
