I find it difficult to classify Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse Five. At times it feels like old school science fiction, and at other times an historical account. The structure of Slaughterhouse Five is so unique I have a hard time considering it a book rather than a collection of scenes pasted together. While this book may be confusing to many, there is one fact I do know; Billy Pilgrim has become unstuck in time.

Hostgator Review
I recently changed web host providers due to the bad experiences I have had with IX Web hosting. I was looking for fast but affordable hosting solutions when I came upon Hostgator. I had experience with Hostgator many years ago, and was not very impressed. It has been almost 9 years, so I decided to give them another chance. For now, I am glad, as I am happy with the level of service I have experienced with Hostgator.
Why I Use Google Chrome
Those who use the Internet for work or school know the importance of a good web browser. An old and obsolete browser will often run into problems on today’s Internet, leaving a bad user experience. For over a year now, Google Chrome has been available to the public, and has seen much success in it’s short lifespan. Chrome is my main and for the most part, only browser, as it does what I need to do, quickly. Below is a list of reasons I use Chrome, and why I think you should as well.
Book Review: The Gathering Storm by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson
The Gathering Storm, book 12 of the Wheel of Time Series, was released last year with much anticipation. In 2007 Robert Jordan died, leaving the completion of his series in doubt. Jordan at the time was working on the final volume, titled A Memory of Light. Jordan’s estate choose Brandon Sanderson to complete the series, leaving many fans questioning if he could finish the series. Many felt it would be close to impossible for anyone to complete such a difficult task, as the Wheel of Time series is one of the most complex series ever to be created.
Book Review: Lightning by Dean R. Koontz
I must confess, before I read this book I had never heard of Dean R. Koontz. I hate to admit this, but I am not well read. I often pick a handful of authors and focus on them, often ignoring others. I have decided it is time to read books from as many authors as possible. I decided I wanted to read a book that includes time travel. As a science fiction nerd, I find time travel fascinating. Lightning includes time travel done in an interesting and unpredictable way. To that end, I found Lightning to be an interesting read.
National Broadband – Needed Questions
The U.S. Federal Communications Commission released a plan on Monday for the foundation of a National Broadband System. This system aims to have 100 million American households get Internet speeds of 100 megabits per second by 2020. The goals of the plan are to improve speeds and to increase coverage to the nearly 100 million Americans with dial up Internet access. A Connect America Fund would receive up to $15.5 Billion over the next decade to help achieve this goal.
US Court Rules Against Vaccine-Autism Link
A Special U.S. Court ruled on Friday that vaccines containing a mercury preservative does not cause autism. Thimerosal, a mercury based preservative used in many vaccines, has been blamed by many parents of autistic children to be the cause of autism. The court ruled that thimerosal based vaccines did not cause the autism of William Mead, an Oregon boy diagnosed with autism. This closes the door on many parents who were seeking payment from the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.
